Alex + Ryan’s Lovely Wedding at Mission San Jose and Lost Mission

Alex and Ryan’s love story is one for the books!  The couple of engineers met in an R & D lab at work, and it was love at first sight through their safety goggles. The big test was when Alex’s career moved her to China, and Ryan followed. Eventually they moved on to Fort Worth, Texas. After visiting San Antonio, the two love birds fell in love with our fair city and decided that it would be the perfect location for their destination wedding.

The couple chose San Antonio for its rich history and character. Mission San Jose was the historical location for the wedding ceremony and Lost Mission provided the Texas-style character that Alex and Ryan longed to share with their guests. Guests came as far as Hong Kong to join in on the celebration.

Alex and Ryan were a pure joy to work with, and we loved being a part of their wedding day. Congratulations Alex and Ryan; best wishes for a life time of happiness together!

Amy + Eric’s Destination Wedding on the San Antonio Riverwalk

This lovely couple and their beautiful children chose San Antonio as their destination wedding location because of the Riverwalk’s beauty and historical uniqueness. Guests came south from New Jersey and west from Alabama to join together in celebration of Amy and Eric’s new life together.

Eric, being a HUGE Alabama fan, insisted on crimson, grey, and white for their wedding colors. Amy loved the idea, but certainly desired an elegant spin on the the Alabama color palette, and we made it happen! We so enjoyed helping this sweet family make their wedding day dreams come true. Congratulations to the whole family!

Nicole + Daniel’s Wedding at the Witte Museum & Gardens

As children, Nicole and Daniel loved visiting the Witte Museum; it has always been one of their favorite places in their hometown of San Antonio. After meeting one another, discovering this commonality, and getting engaged, it became evident that the Witte Museum was their ideal wedding venue.

To add to the nostalgia, the young couple moved to Germany in the midst of the planning process, so coming back home to one of their favorite places to meet all of their family and friends on their wedding day was a dream come true. The museum’s newest prehistoric editions undeniably added interest to the evening as well.

It was truly an honor assisting Nikki and Daniel in making their hometown wedding the day they always dreamed it would be. We will cherish the experience, always.

Courtney + Chris’s Wedding on the Guadalupe River

Courtney and Chris’s big day was the day they always dreamed it would be. The lovely couple exchanged vows on the banks of the Guadalupe River at the Marquardt Ranch. Hawaiian wedding customs were incorporated within the ceremony to bring forth the rich traditions of Courtney’s heritage. After the ceremony, friends and family gathered to celebrate friendship and love. Courtney surprised Chris by performing three hula routines that she, her mother, and sister had rehearsed for weeks. Reciprocally, Chris sang acapella to his new bride. The guests danced the night away to terrific sounds by Lumen Events.

We so enjoyed being a part of this beautiful day for Courtney and Chris. Congratulations and many blessings for a lifetime of happiness together.

Paola + Anthony’s Red Carpet Theater Wedding

The red carpet was literally rolled out for Paola and Anthony’s wedding guests as they arrived at The Charline McCombs Empire Theater for a wedding to remember! Guests received their Playbill inspired wedding programs and ascended the balcony to watch Paola and Anthony exchange their nuptuals overlooking the the theater’s grand stage.

After the ceremony, guests walked the red carpet to have their pictures taken with the bride and groom during a star studded cocktail hour. The wedding reception was as glamorous as hollywood love story, as the couple shared their first dance on the starlit stage.

Alustra Events pulled out all the stops with lighting and special effects fit for a Broadway show. The highlight of the evening was the confetti canon pre-send off dance on the Empire’s stage.
