Courtney Isaak and Alex Pichon surprised us less than four months before their wedding date to inquire about wedding planning services. The exquisite Hotel Emma had a last minute Saturday opening and these two were ready to get married, so we gladly accepted the challenge and they said “I do”!
Courtney’s bridesmaids consisted of her sisters and her new sister in law, and what sweet sisters they all were. Additionally, Alex’s groomsmen were his brother and new new brother-in-law. It was a pure joy watching Courtney go down the aisle with her dear father, and we loved the expression on Alex’s face when he saw his bride for the first time. The ceremony was filled with heartfelt expression from both the couple’s wedding vows and the sweet words from their siblings.
Courtney was inspired by the southwestern ceramic tiles at Hotel Emma, and selected a vibrant navy blue, orange, coral, blush, and pink color palette to complement the tiles and the terra-cotta hues of the hotel. We brought in blue and white Chinoiserie porcelain pieces from Luxe Event Decor and specialty candle decor from Cat Haus Designs & Rentals to add femininity to the design.
With the help of Blume Haus Fine Florals and the Girl General, we developed a memorable guest seating display that later doubled as both centerpiece accents and wedding guest favors. The bright orange tanks inside Elephant Cellar were embraced and adorned with vibrant florals to provide a vibrant backdrop for the head table. Each and every floral was hand selected to create the wild, garden aesthetic that Courtney envisioned.
There were so many sentimental moments that evening: several tearjerking toasts, John David caught these two love birds stealing a kiss and having a private moment inside Supper, and there was DANCING – lots and lots of DANCING!
Thank you, Courtney and Alex, for surprising us and giving us the challenge of planning your beautiful wedding in record timing. We are forever grateful for the experience, as well as the opportunity to befriend you and your dear families. Wishing you a life full of beautiful surprises, bountiful blessings and pure joy.
