Austinites Hannah and Jack first fell in love with Hotel Emma during a weekend getaway, making it the natural choice when it came time to plan their wedding. After their engagement, they returned to the place that had become so meaningful to them, eager to begin planning a celebration that reflected their love for the property.
With a condensed planning timeline, only a handful of Saturday dates remained available. They selected an April weekend, only to later discover it coincided with the grand finale of San Antonio’s iconic Fiesta celebration. Initially surprised by the timing, they quickly chose to embrace it, recognizing that the city’s vibrant energy would become an unforgettable part of the wedding weekend experience for both themselves and their guests.

We carried the Fiesta spirit throughout the celebration, incorporating custom-designed wedding invitations and a vibrant Fiesta-inspired seating chart that reflected the energy of the weekend. As a special keepsake, every guest was invited to select their own official Fiesta medal—a uniquely San Antonio tradition that added a playful, memorable touch to the wedding experience.

To fully embrace the spirit of Fiesta, Hannah selected a vibrant color palette of bold hot pinks, vivid oranges, and cheerful pops of lavender and purple. The lively hues celebrated San Antonio’s most iconic festival while creating a joyful, energetic atmosphere that perfectly reflected the excitement of the wedding weekend.

We embraced the warm terracotta tones of Elephant Cellar, enhancing the space with richly textured terracotta vessels, lace linens, vibrant floral compositions, and handcrafted Oaxacan candles. The layered palette complemented the venue’s character while creating an atmosphere that felt warm, sophisticated, and unmistakably inspired by the colorful spirit of Fiesta.

To complete the design, we incorporated a custom DJ façade that was thoughtfully designed to complement the overall aesthetic and seamlessly blend with the surrounding décor, reinforcing the cohesive, elevated look of the celebration.

Hotel Emma truly outdid itself with an extraordinary dessert display that delighted guests throughout the evening. The hotel’s exquisite confections beautifully complemented the couple’s custom wedding cake, which was adorned with a striking Sacred Heart motif—a symbolic burning heart that added a meaningful and artful finishing touch to the celebration.
