Mia and Zack’s Jazz Club Inspired Wedding Celebration at the Red Berry Estate

Some celebrations are inspired by a place. Others are inspired by a feeling.

For Mia and Zack, that feeling was the unmistakable energy of a late-night jazz club—warm candlelight, timeless music, impeccable hospitality, and an atmosphere where every detail invited guests to linger just a little longer. Having made New York City their home, they envisioned a wedding that captured the romance and sophistication of the city’s legendary music venues while embracing the timeless elegance of San Antonio’s historic Red Berry Estate.

The estate’s striking architecture and manicured gardens provided an effortlessly elegant backdrop for the couple’s vows. A traditional chuppah was thoughtfully incorporated into the ceremony design, honoring Zack’s Jewish heritage.

As cocktail hour began, the atmosphere shifted. Live jazz filled the air as guests enjoyed handcrafted cocktails while wandering through the estate, setting the tone for an evening centered around conversation, music, and exceptional hospitality.

From the very beginning, every design decision was made with intention. Rather than creating a traditional ballroom reception, we sought to transform the estate into an immersive experience where guests felt as though they had stepped into an intimate jazz lounge. Rich textures, dramatic lighting with both candles and lamps, layered fabrics, subtle florals, and thoughtfully curated furnishings worked together to create a celebration that was both refined and deeply inviting.

Mia and Zack’s unforgettable first dance set the tone for an evening filled with incredible music, joyful celebration, and an electric energy that carried throughout the night. Music remained the heartbeat of the celebration from beginning to end. Throughout dinner and into the evening, every transition was choreographed to maintain the rhythm of the experience.

Drywater Band opened the dance floor and the celebration burst to life with the spirited traditions of a Jewish wedding. Guests gathered around for the joyful hora, lifting Mia and Zack high above the crowd in their chairs as laughter, music, and applause filled the room. From that unforgettable moment forward, the evening transformed effortlessly from an elegant dinner party into an exhilarating celebration.

And when we least expected it, DJ Gumby took over the turntables with an electrifying Latin set that reminded us that we were back in San Antonio. Blending beloved classics with contemporary favorites, he kept the energy at its peak as for an unforgettable hour.

It was an honor to bring Mia and Zack’s vision to life and to transform The Red Berry Estate into a celebration inspired by the timeless romance of jazz, the sophistication of New York, and the warmth that defines every unforgettable wedding.
